Seated Woman3/4" x 1 1/4" An excellent photograph of the shaman's amulet that this design is derived from is in Arts of the Raven, a catalogue of Northwest Coast art exhibited in 1967. The exhibition notes indicate that it is Tsimshian, and Allen Wardwell also notes in Tangible Visions that it was collected at Lakalzap (Greenville) in 1913. The size of the labret (lip plug) indicates an older woman from a wealthy family, possibly a woman shaman.
