Crane

This design is based on an inlaid bone charm from the Nass River, but my version is two dimensional, whereas the piece it derives from is more complex, with a design on the back of the crane. An interpretive guide to the Northwest Coast section of the Canadian Museum of Human Civilization suggests that it is a bird changing into a human being.
