Two Finned Killer Whale

1" DIA.

This design is based on a dance tunic collected by Swan in the Queen Charlotte Islands (Haida Gwaii), and represents a supernatural killer whale with two fins, a crest of the Haida Raven Phratry. The original appliqué tunic is now part of the University of Washington's Burke Museum collection and is illustrated in Holm's Spirit and Ancestor.
