The central knot design is from the Glamis Stone, Glamis, Angus, Scotland. The "dragon" or serpent heads are inspired by an illuminated panel in the Canterbury Bible. The circular motif is believed to represent the sun, and the serpents may represent resurrection according to some scholars.
